SEOUL: DAY 1

Finally! Found enough time for me to write about my amazing trip to Seoul last week. Perfect time for me as well to introduce new content into my blog not only solely focused on fashion advice and trends but also on things I do, experience and enjoy doing.

I was in this amazing city for a total of 4 days and I must say each day was an amazing and breathtaking experience. In the course of the next few days I'll be sharing with you my entire trip with thoughts and photos interspersed. So sit back, relax and enjoy the read! [By the way, for the lucky few who know me personally, will be uploading a full set of photos on my personal Facebook account so do watch out for those.]

SEOUL: DAY 1

Day 1 was spent catching up with friends who went ahead to go experience the slopes of Seoul. Met up in the city and we explored 2 areas - Ehwa University and Namsan where you'll find the Seoul Tower.

Ehwa is essentially one of the university districts where you'll find this gorgeous campus amidst the bustling streets of the city.  It was a good area to get a feel of the city - filled with quaint shops and fantastic restaurants serving scrumptious local cuisine. The populace as expected was full of students doing their own thing as tourists milled around and got a feel of a day in the life of a Korean.

Namsan was definitely the more exciting and thrilling part of the day. Here we explored the famous Seoul Tower. I personally thought that the tower was a bit overrated and commercial and instead what I found special about the place were the Love Locks and the Teddy Museum.

The locks supposedly symbolized you and your partner's eternal commitment to each other and each of you are to keep your own set of keys for the locks you place in the fence. Of course my friends took the chance to place their mark amidst the myriad of locks already set in the area as you can see in the photos.

The Teddy Bear Museum is the other interesting focal point of this area. To most it may sound very mundane and a frilly idea; it's actually a key point of interest as Seoul has used bears to depict their history in a 2-part exhibition of past and present. Believe it or not, based on folklore, the Korean lineage is rooted in bears thus the importance of this seemingly mundane character is highlighted even further.

And of course, I won't pass up the chance of posting about the effervescent bears of one of my absolute favorite Koreanovelas - Princess Hours - they're just soooo adorable!

One last cute point to share on this post – check out this family decked out in matching outfits animal print outfits at Seoul Tower! Only in Korea would I think this to be such a cute thing to do!

Until the next post then guys! Do watch out for more Seoul updates - definitely with more fashion and shopping involved!
