2012 AUDI FASHION FESTIVAL: RAOUL F/W WOMEN'S COLLECTION
It seems as if for the past and next few days, you won't hear anything much from me other than Raoul - with what my collaboration [CLICK HERE] with them and of late the congregation of the fashion world here in Singapore last week for the 2012Audi Fashion Festival where they showcased their Fall-Winter 2012 collection for women.
It was a jam packed show and I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the event with most of fashion's elite - from Style Magazine's Editor-in-Chief Giselle Go to London's latest IT girl Tallulah Harlech - making it truly a magical night to remember.
And of course, lest we forget, the reason for being there - the presentation of Raoul's Fall-Winter 2012 Women's Collection. All in all, it was a decent showing. As a collection in it's entirety, I must say that I was mildly disappointed because I felt it lack the cohesion I expected from one; but I must say I was very happy and ecstatic about each look that went down the runway and that is what I think is the show's highlight. Majority, if not all, of the looks are classic, wearable pieces, which in their own interesting and unique way is also fashion forward and trendy. This is a fine line that is quite difficult to achieve and I must say Raoul has done it very well with each look that came down the runway.
A multitude of colors were used in the show from deep rich forest green to lilac, turquoise to yellow orange and of course, classics like black and white that surprisingly worked quite well on each of the looks. Textures played prominently in the collection as well to what seemed liked features of shearling or tweed in some of the coats/vests to the vibrant patterns to the stunning addition of metallic colors and pieces in some of the couture.
All in all it was a great show and I must say I'm thrilled and excited for the continuous growth of Raoul as a strong contender in the world of fashion. I'm really looking forward to seeing the pieces in stores as I have my eye on a few of them! For more photos from the show, click on next. Until the next update guys!
