YSL MULTI-COLORED MUSE TWO
When Yves Saint Laurent first launched the Muse Two a few years back, I was apprehensive of the design. I felt that it was way below the standards its more classic sister – the original Muse - has set. It looked too plain and drab and simply put, it felt like it didn’t belong with the Muse family. But, I was put to shame when YSL reissued new multi-colored designs of the Muse Two this Spring-Summer 2011. It seems that the Muse Two, when imbibed with a plethora of colors worthy of an exotic parrot, has created a name of it’s own. The design seems to have been invigorated and resuscitated with a breath of fresh air – finally finding enough ground to stand on it’s own.
Coming in different variations, the bag seems to have been re-envisioned to bring to life YSL’s Spring-Summer collection. Personally, I’ve fallen in love with the design that features the color orange predominantly. It’s attention grabbing enough without being too loud.
The other design, which caught my eye, would be the cooler combination of navy, turquoise and sea green. Cool and calming, yet bright enough to make any fasione-ista turn around and look. And of course for a more classic look, the Muse Two in deep navy is a winner – regardless of the season you’re carrying it.
Hopefully YSL maintains the edge it brought to Muse Two in succeeding seasons. But in case they don’t, dear ladies, I highly suggest you grab a piece of this colorful cake because in my opinion, it’s a Spring-Summer keeper!
