It's been a while since I've obsessed over a pair of shoes and not until recently did I experience the feeling yet again - all thanks to Prada's reinvention of the Creeper Brogues.

Prada's Creeper Brogues have become an instant hit in the fashion world since showcased during their Spring Summer show for 2011.  Despite receiving mixed reviews for its "unusual" design, fashion critics and junkies have jumped at the opportunity of getting a hold on these babies.  Upon release, wait lists for these multi-layered leather wonders formed - longer than the lines at sample sales in NYC.

Selling at roughly USD 850-950 a pair - depending on which part of the world you are - these brogue hits have become a fashionisto's dream.  Oh and believe you me, it has invaded my dreams as well.

First released here in Singapore 3-4 months ago, they sold like pancakes. Kapoof! Back then, all that was left were the monochrome versions of these beauties.  Unfortunate for me, I was yearning for the multi-colored pieces that make the design even more unique and special.

The fasione fairy must have heard fashionista's pleas everywhere as stocks of these limited multi-colored [blue-yellow-brown] wonders were released last week in Singapore.  And yes, I went to the store at Paragon to try them on - 4x in a span of 3 days to be exact (obviously I'm that obsessed). Well, they didn't have it in my size!

In my opinion, I do think the multi-colored brogues are stunners and worth every penny.  The craftsmanship is exquisite and you can see the labor and love that was put behind the creation of these beauties. Some fashionistas do think that the multi-colored design is a one hit wonder and prefer the monochromatic versions.  Personally I feel the monochromatic tones on these shoes are lackluster vs. the multi-colored ones, which add spice to the otherwise predictable world of men's shoes.  It's high time designers thought out of the box for men's shoes and these lovelies definitely do the job just right.

Now, the question remains, did I purchase a pair of my own?  Did I give in and take a size bigger or did my fashion fairy pity the restlessness of my fashionable soul and magically produced a pair in just the right size?  Well I guess you'll all have to wait and see as I post more a.Looks if that happened.
